My summertime sadness soundtrack... i have had about twenty some songs on replay and for some reason they inspire me every-time i hear them.I get in a certain state-of-mind that just lets me think clearly and enjoy summer wherever i am. SAINT LAURENT

Hedi Slimane is completely MAD! i love it, and all his work for Saint Laurent. And his 2014 resort-wear campaign is also mad. i love the dark and semi-gothic feel that has been present in all of Saint Laurent's collections.( and i love the famously coveted pumps)

It surrounds us

I know that my posts have been missing lately but i have been working with inner city kids in my country for this past week and i haven't been able to post as much as i would like to ( but that's another story, contact me ). 

For the past couple of weeks i have been very intrigued by architecture and interior design, i love it and can definitely draw some inspiration from it. I have been so obsessed with it lately that i even have a folder full of town houses, house barns and windows(LOVE) and i wanted to share them ....

Mens Fashion Week Spring 2014

 Les Hommes

REinventing formal wear? seems to be true at Les Hommes collection. I loved the use of  leather and incorporating it into formal wear in their suits,shirts and ties(not to mention how much i want their leather Ts) and then incorporating a red patterned dress shirt and ending with a "typical" formal grey suit.This collection made formal wear edgy and not dull and boring.  I LOVED it...

Jil Sander 

It seems to be a gloomy collection at Jil Sander full of whites, blacks and greys but with a salmon colored silver-lining.I love this use of very few colors and focusing on a silhouette. 

Andrea Pompilio

Showed a collection with a concentration in patterns. Stripes, flowers and Paisley-like patterns covered the uniquely structured pieces. I like how all the pieces have a different feel to them whether it is in the fit of the shirt of the print of the suit. 

Summer Solstice 2013

BLUES

It is obvious that blue is on trend for this summer but now what shade do I pick? Royal, Navy and Baby blues are all in this summer (and really all year round).And from what we have seen on the streets at fashion week little hints of blue or whole outfits have the potential of making a killer outfit(if styled right, 

please take note).

Mens Summer 2014

All of Alexander McQueen's collections show appealing and ornate outfits. Aside from seeing a full outfit come down a runway, the detail and techniques used in creating an Alexander McQueen piece is mind blowing. For McQueen's mens summer 2014 collection texture was a big part in creating the suits. The blazers had quilted detail on top of the flowery prints or some were a lacy number and a couple stayed true to the McQueen "symbol" and had faint hints of skulls. I dont really know how to explain this mess besides that i love it and love what Sarah Barton has done.

Burberry Summer 2014

Christopher Bailey has done some outstanding collections for the English brand, Burberry. For his men's summer collection 2014 Burberry showed a mix of pure colors and of simple prints (checkered, polka dots, stripes. Christopher took many common pieces and made them distinct by giving them a pop of color or adding a different material. I love this collection and I love the way Burberry reinvented the color block trend...

WANG

COMPLETELY OBSESSED! Any one who reads my posts continually probably has a good understanding of my love for Alexander Wang. I have always admired this young designer for his unique style and how his collections are somewhat ironic. Every season Alexander Wang has multiple "IT" items in his collections (not to mention the killer Mackenzie boots last season). Alexander Wang's Resort 2014 collection is MAD! it is quite apparent that he stayed true to his simplistic and comfortable trademark. Shape was very key for this season's collection by playing around with pleats and creases with different fabrics and he even added a pepto-bismol pink (and it looks amazing!). All I can Say Is that I Love it and it is my favorite resort collection. 

PS11 mini

Proenza Schouler's PS11 classic has probably been the IT bag for the past seasons and we have seen it everywhere on the streets of Fashion Weeks. We'll continue to see this iconic clasped shoulder bag all the same just in MINI.I am also loving the glossy metallic colors, i mean if you are gonna go big a get the IT bag get it in a statement color.  

SUNNYDAYS

Sunglasses have always been one of my MUST HAVE items... little did i know that i own multiple, They from my vintage Calvin Kleins to my $5 oversized circular pair.I wanted to make a post about SHADES is because (beside being a must have summer item)the other day i got asked " why do you own so many pairs of sunglasses?" and honestly i could only respond - "i really don't know, i just love them".Then i started thinking about how when i go out the right pair of sunglasses can give a finishing touch to one outfit, and having them gives my face a new, temporary appearance or shape. And of-course they block out the sun from your eyes making it an accessory that is both practical and stylish...

RUMOR HAS IT

WORD IT OUT! H&M has a collaboration with a famous designer who designs a limited edition collection for the H&M client. I LOVE this time a year because you see a more accesible collection yet with the same edge and trade mark that is unique to the Designer. This year Isabel Marant is the collab designer, and i am excited to see the sort of BOHO style that is her trade mark put into a collection for H&M. PUMPED because for the FIRST TIME EVER she is designing a menswear collection, definitely spending some money there!!!
