My weekly readers know that i LOVE Alexander Wang, and i especially loved his work at Balenciaga. Today i came across the first LOOK at the Fall/Winter 2013 ad campaign. DEFINITELY we saw A. Wang's style and signature in this photograph yet still keeping true to the brand's roots. Shot by Steven Klein, this campaign isn't much like past campaigns, it shows a more mysterious yet elegant style.

I was browsing through FREE PEOPLE's Online store today and i came across a re-occurring trend, black heeled sandal, and it hit me that this is a essential shoe for spring. These shoes are perfect for both a casual or dressy outfit, and they are a shift from the frequent bright colored flats that usually come with spring. What makes this trend so excellent it that despite their simplicity, it give every outfit a unique look, and NOT only for spring(meaning that it is a great investment).Here are some of my favorite pairs that were on the Free People website.

Gone Exotic

Maybe in between all this spring fever there is a way to spice up your outfit, a touch of exotic animal skins. This trend has been popular in the latest 2013 shows for BOTH spring and fall. Proenza Schouler, Valentino, Celiné, and Stella McCartney have all been a part of pushing this trend.A small touch of crocodile or snake skin in your accessories is good enough to put a twist to your outfit.

we saw this trend on the runways these past season and it is just coming in stronger and stronger. A bold print is a perfect way to make a statement and it is a awesome piece to have in your closet.This spring has a statement shirt without having the statement colors.

PREEN x ALDO

In March ALDO released their PREEN x ALDO collaboration. These shoes were on Preens spring/summer 2013 runway. This collaboration allows for an affordable, on trend shoe. When i first saw these shoes i thought that they would go perfect with a oversized white button up shirt(past post). Exotic animal skins are a perfect way to make a small statement and these shoes do just that.

NEW WAY

For this spring there has been a shift from a militaristic approach to more of a CIVILIZED safari. The safari look is and has been a very popular style and has been for many spring/summers but what i love about the 2013 VERSION (so to speak) is that it takes different colors, textures, styles and infuses them with a small taste of a safari look. I love that this trend gives more of a low-key feel to it.

THE ESSENTIAL COLOR FOR SPRING

CAMEL COLOR is one of the hottest colors for this Spring/Summer. It may be an basic color this spring because one can have a complete monochromatic camel colored outfit or pair it with a POPPY RED or a EMERALD GREEN (which also are colors for this spring). Camel color is a very basic and easy color to wear cause, just like black and white, it goes with any color in any style.

Welcome spring with some new shades. It is actually quite amazing how much the right pair of sunglasses does for your outfit. They are an accessory that hides the face and creates people to focus on the entire outfit. A good pair of sunglasses lasts for many seasons and trends (with the proper care). What makes the RIGHT sunglass is how it fits your face shape, skin tone and how well you work it.

GET A GRIP

I love this new trend so much that i already went and bought some thick toothed pair of shoes. This trend has been made famous especially in 2013 by Prada. The thick toothed sole makes for a unique shoe and a memorable one. Palladium boots have been known for their thick toothed soles that resemble army boots.  i am almost positive that we will be seeing some of Prada's shoes on the streets next Fashion Week.

I CAIR

Caring for ones HAIR is a constant part in my everyday routine. Many times people think that styling your hair refers to spending hours and hours in front of a mirror but here are some of my easy HEALTHY HAIR tips...

1) AVOID STEAMING SHOWERS- turning up the heat while taking a shower

 dries your hair out way faster than medium temperature

2) DON'T OVER-WASH- having Dry hair over oily hair I only wash my hair 3 

   times a week, allowing my hair to get a good texture and wave that

 i really want, also saves on hair products

3) RIGHT SHAPOO- This may take a while but experiment with different 

name brands and types of shampoos until you find one that 

fits your hair

4)CUTS- Women are not the only ones that need their ends cut, guys also 

need to get those dead ends cut and have overall healthy hair and 

maintain the shape.

LOVE it, it isnt so heavy so it gives a natural

feel while still maintaining your hair's shape.

running into the WILD

Givenchy under the rule of the iconic Ricardo Tisci has been coming out( for quite some time now) with BOLD and STATEMENT-MAKING t shirts that i think are SO AMAZING. These T's have had baroque prints, religious geo prints and even savage animals, this only creates space for a knockout outfit.
