The MOST anticipated show of the FASHION WEEKS in 2013, Balenciaga.Alexander Wang said that this collection was that “It was about really going back to the house, to the archive, and the codes that were so true to Cristóbal Balenciaga—with dynamic new materials.”  Wang also left his signature mark in this collection with playing around with the fabric or creating a sense of irony but still staying true to the houses roots. I love how the runway was faux marble and that same pattern was translated to bits and pieces of the clothing and how the focus of the clothing was on the cut and silhouette. In this collection the back of the outfit was probably the focus and the eye grabber while the front had a classy simplicity. i absolutely loved this collection.

Daniele Michetti's collection for summer 2013 is right on trend with studs and color but one thing that i like most about these shoes is that they are unique. I love the mixture of textures and fabrics with a skinny gold plated heel or a woven heel and a jigsaw cut strap. These would make your outfit a walking icon. New York Fashion Week

happy NEW YORK Fashion Week 2013!!!! GEEZE this fashion week has been filled with surprises, not only by the amazing shows but also the snow storm. Well that didn't stop fashion week!!!! Collections in New York have been OFF THE WALL ... I Love the new trends that we are seeing so far (TRENDS on NYFW will come in another post). Here are some pictures of some of my favorite shows so far and i have a feeling that we will be seeing a whole lot more GREAT fashion shows...

Reed Krakoff - simple blouse simple skirt and simple trousers BUT don't be fooled because these pieces have some sort of statement to them whether it is the silhouette the pattern or just the cut.

3.1 Phillip Lim - very wearable and approachable street wear is a concept that made this show one of my TOP favs.

Rachel Zoe - simplistic safari outing? MAYBE, but this collection seemed to be a fresh breath of air for the Rachel Zoe Brand

Marc by Marc Jacobs- FRESH and YOUTHFUL Winter is the feeling that i get. Maybe could have even had hits of spring but all i know is that this show had some crazy prints and crazy forms that are so wearable and i BET that we will be seeing these clothes in Magazines and on the streets. 

Rabal Gurung - Yes, MILITARISTIC woman with a pair of strong KILLER heels and awesome layered clothing is what created a empowering woman and that is why Prabal Gurung's collection is one of my favorites

CHLOÉ ÉDITITION ANNIVERSAIRE

3 Episodes (so far) to celebrate the French Label, Chloé on having it's 60th anniversary. To celebrate it, they wanted to take a trip down memory lane by celebrating their top designs. Chloé has been a label that has always had a simple edge to it yet challenged new trends since the very start in the mid 1900s where Gaby Aghion designed a collection to break the strict "rules" on full skirts.

Androgynous Style has been in for a couple of seasons now but I have never seen it Like the latest Pre-Fall collections. I think that the designers have given the menswear for women a new and fresh "mix-up" than the typical suit coat and pants.It seems as if fashion lately has really focused on the silhouette, from boxy outer wear to loose, oversized tees.
